JAPAN 4 household enterprises jointly develop next-generation fuel cell

According to Japanese Economic News website reported, Osaka Gas, Kyocera, Toyota and Aisin four companies jointly announced on the 25th the next generation of home fuel cell development and striving to put on the market before 2015.
Household fuel cell can be extracted from hydrogen gas as a fuel in power generation during the heat generated can also be used in hot water supply, higher energy efficiency and reduce carbon dioxide emissions.
It is reported that Japan’s major gas company will start in May at the National Sales of solid polymer type fuel cell (PEFC). And Osaka Gas, such as the four enterprise development is the next generation of solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC), compared with the former, and its power generation more efficient, but because of high manufacturing costs and durability problems have not been resolved, and therefore not that could be put to practical.
Reported that the Osaka Gas and Kyocera had been in the cooperative development of fuel cell, Toyota and Aisin also have similar cooperation, the joint is intended to speed up the implementation of the next generation of practical home fuel cell process.
