Qimonda to sell solar battery factory located in Portugal

Today, through the Angolan bank BPA, Portugal number of the company’s Union plans to acquire 51% of the plant’s shares, the remaining 49% is still held by Centrosolar. Interested in buying 51% of the shares of the company including: Energias de Portugal, Visabeira conglomerate and construction firm DST, BES and Millennium BCP banks.
The first phase of the plant for an initial investment of 70 million euros. In the past few months Qimonda has been trying to avoid the liquidation of assets, and the town of Kant in the plant to retain 200 employees. Reported that new investors plan to plant employees to 450, and add a solar panel production line, the plant will greatly increase the production capacity.
