Dow Jones reported that Renault - Nissan alliance (Renault-nissanAlliance) British Sunderland (Sunderland) advanced lithium battery plant has commenced.
Renault - Nissan Sunderland plant total cost of lithium batteries, 210 million euros, the plant will start production in early 2012 lithium battery, the initial annual capacity will reach 60,000 units. These batteries will be used for Nissan and Renault’s electric vehicles.
Renault - Nissan Sunderland plant will start production from 2013 Leaf pure electric vehicles. Nissan recovery Bang (Oppama) plant will be in the second half as the world’s first production electric vehicle Leaf plant. Starting from the end of 2012, Nissan Smyrna, Tennessee plant will start producing electric cars and Leaf advanced lithium batteries.
Renault - Nissan alliance previously announced, the Renault - Nissan alliance will build a lithium battery factory Cacia, Portugal, and also in the Renault factory in France lithium battery.
