Sony 1991 achieved the world first commercial lithium-ion batteries, the batteries last 20 years, business development, has been leading the field of lithium-ion battery technology innovation and product upgrading. Sony take the lead in 1999 to achieve the commercialization of lithium-ion polymer battery to substantially increase the capacity lithium-ion battery and can be adjusted according to the size of lithium ion batteries, the technology innovation is to enhance the portable electronic products, battery life (eg mobile phones, digital cameras, etc.) and make a more lightweight product designs. Close to 2010, Sony sold in the global cumulative total of 3 billion batteries.
