May 31 , HPand the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said on Friday that HP will expand its voluntary recall of laptop batteries size of the fire due to overheat Risk.
CPSC said that in 2009 and in May 2010 after the initial recall, HP has received more information about the lithium-ion batteries overheating and rupture of the report, thus enlarging the size of the recall to include more models.
The recall involves another 162,600 batteries, these batteries are manufactured in China, imported by HP.
