I went ahead and placed my order on Amazon. To my amazement the laptop battery arrived within 24 hours of the time I placed the order. My daughter came home that weekend to visit and I installed the new replacement Dell Inspiron 640m battery in her laptop. The laptop battery has worked flawlessly for about one and a half years now.

I ordered two Li-ion batteries for my laptop. The price was great, the delivery was prompt, and the two Dell Inspiron 640m battery work very well. I don't have any comparison with my original lower capacity battery, but these batteries hold up well in the laptop . |

My wife needed a backup battery for travel to Japan. It was so much less than the factory battery, I thought if it didn't work I wouldn't be out much. It works fine. I haven't tested it specifically to see how long it holds a charge relative to the battery supplied with the camera. But it seems about the same. |
