Question:I recently bought a new Dell Latitude D520 battery , because the original one couldn’t hold a charge. It worked perfectly fine until after a Trojan virus infected my computer, but I reformatted the drive and reinstalled all of the drivers.
Answer:If you replaced the battery and it won’t charge it’s because your computer is drawing more current than is being supplied by the charger. It’s a simple In vs. Out situation. If the charger is supplying 100 milliamps of current but the computer is using more than that, the battery will not absorb a charge. You need a tech to monitor the current your computer consumes, and check the charger to see if it’s delivedring enough power.
